Anthony L. Trufant is the Senior Pastor of Emmanuel Baptist Church of Brooklyn, NY, a position he has held since November 1990. With an impressive educational background, including a B.A. from Morehouse College, an M.Div. from Colgate Rochester Divinity School, and an M.A. from Seton Hall University, he is well-equipped to lead and inspire. Anthony is also pursuing a doctorate in Transformational Leadership at Bakke Graduate School and holds certifications in Conflict Resolution/Mediation, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), and Executive Coaching with the John Maxwell Team.
As the sole owner and operator of Tru4U, LLC, Anthony’s biblically based, Christ-centered preaching and teaching integrate spiritual formation, pastoral counseling, and social justice. He is married to Muriel Goode-Trufant, the Managing Attorney for the NYC Law Department, and together they have two young adult daughters, Sharise and Toni.
